A Court of Thorns and Roses #2
Wow! This book was everything I wanted it to be, and more! Feyre grows so much in this book, emerging from the well of despair after the events Under the Mountain and becoming a powerful and fearsome entity all her own. Maas writes broken characters so well that you can’t help but admire their journey, and I so admired Feyre’s. I love that I have no idea where the story will go from here, that ending was a classic Maas twist that I have come to expect after reading the Throne of Glass series. And Rhysand’s character was delightful, turning out to be just what I hoped he would be, and then some. I just can’t wait for more!
My only complaint, is that I feel like the events of this book somewhat cheapen the events of A Court of Thorns and Roses, coloring my favor and making that book feel like less than it was. But, I really really love where the story ending up going, so I guess I can’t complain much.
