Shadow and Bone #3 (Grishaverse)
A fantastic ending to an epic story. I do so enjoy a rise from the ashes story, and the Grisha trilogy is definitely that. And what’s a better for a nobody orphan than saving the world. There were definitely some surprises from this novel. Bardugo does a good job of making you actually start to believe that the characters are safe and secure, before tearing it all apart again. In the end, there were a few things that I didn’t like, but our characters all got the ending that they deserved. I still wished for a little more expansion on the darkling’s character, I still felt like there was more there to explore. And Nickolai was such a delight, he will remain probably my favorite character from the series. All in all, a great story. I’m excited to jump back into Bardugo’s world with the Six of Crows series.
