Daughter of the Pirate King #1
Daughter of the Pirate King was just the fun and enchanting romp that I was hoping for! I’ve always enjoyed a good Pirate story, and a female pirate to boot just makes it all the better. Alosa if fierce and ruthless when she needs to be, but has a good heart and an enduring spirit. Riden is the pirate with a conscience, an unflinching loyalty, and a calculating mind. I loved the witty banter between the two characters; just so much fun!
While the story was pretty light, and the pacing quick, there were hints here and there of a deeper and darker past for our two heroes that I wish was delved into a bit more. But overall I really enjoyed this high seas adventure and the interesting take on Alosa’s heritage. Looking forward to reading more!
